DAY 1 - Depart USA gateway for Cape Town, South Africa. Overnight aboard aircraft with adult beverages and meals included.
DAY 2 - Late afternoon arrival Cape Town. Following claiming of baggage, and clearance of customs/immigrations formalities, meet (look for sign with your name) your driver for transfer to your hotel. The historic Victoria & Alfred Hotel (originally built 1904) is located within Victoria & Alfred Waterfront area. DAY 3 - Following a restful night, and breakfast, your tour guide will meet you at your hotel at 8:30am for a full day of scheduled touring. Your tour begins with a scenic drive along the Atlantic coast, passing through the cosmopolitan suburb of Sea Point and Camps Bay with its glorious views of the Twelve Apostles, part of the Table Mountain range. From here we travel to the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve where you will see a variety of wildlife that includes baboons, rhebok, Cape Mountain zebra, bontebok, and the elusive eland. The reserve is also one of the world's largest breeding grounds for tortoises. The majestic coastline offers drama worthy of being called "Natures Greatest Show", we will be able to see the union of the Atlantic and Indian Oceans (as per legend), and may even feel the brisk wind that is dubbed the "Cape Doctor" for its presumed curative power. Following the coastline along False Bay, we return to Cape Town by way of Simon's Town, where we visit the Penguin Colony at Boulders Beach; Fishhook fishing village and Muizenberg Mountain. Before we return, we will have a chance to visit Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens for a short walking tour. Late afternoon return to your hotel. Overnight Victoria and Alfred Hotel B/B.
DAY 4 - Following breakfast and checkout, you will be met by your guide for another day of private touring. We start with a tour of Cape Town which begins with our drive to city centre past the famous landmarks such as Castle of Good Hope, built in 1666 by the Dutch East Indian Company, and City Hall, a baroque building, and the Grand Parade. As we follow the city's main thoroughfare, Adderly Street, we will see St. George's Cathedral, the Anglican Diocese of Nobel Peace Laureate Archbishop Desmond Tutu. We continue past Company Gardens and the Malay Quarter (also known as the BoKaap) which means above Cape. Later we visit Signal Mountain and Table Bay for a view of the city. From here we proceed around Table Bay to Milnerton Lighthouse. Late afternoon transfer to Stellenbosch which boasts some of South Africa's famed wineries (South Africa is the worlds 7th largest producer of wine). Late afternoon check-in Lanserac Manor Hotel. DAY 5 - Following breakfast, you will be met by your guide for a full day of private touring in wine country. Visits will be made to 2-3 wineries where you can sample various types of wine. Late afternoon arrival your hotel (dinner on your own account). Lanzerac Manor Hotel/Wine Estate was established in 1692. It is situated on a 350 acre wine estate in the heart of the Cape Winelands. DAY 6 - Following breakfast meet your guide for another day of private touring of the Cape Winelands. Return to your hotel late afternoon. Overnight Lanzerac Manor Hotel B/B basis.
DAY 7 - Following breakfast and check-out, meet you driver at 9:00am for transfer to Cape Town International Airport for your flight to Kruger National Park. Afternoon arrival. Road transfer to Kapama River Lodge. Yourl lodge is located a short 50 minutes drive from the world famous Kruger National Park. KNP is South Africa's largest park with some 4.5 million acres. Within this facility you are offered excellent game viewing activities. You can expect to see the "Big Five" Lion, Leopard, Rhino, Elephant and Cape Buffalo during your stay. Overnight Kapama River Lodge with all meals, and game viewing activities included. DAY 8 - Kapama River Lodge is located within a 27,000 acre private game reserve. Much like Kruger National Park it also offers the ?Big Five? game viewing experience. Kapama River Lodge with all meals, and game viewing activities included.
DAY 9 - During each day in camp you will experience an early morning and late afternoon game drive. During mid-day you will be able to relax by enjoying a swim, or simply lay back and read a book. Overnight Kapama River Lodge with all meals, and game viewing activities included.
DAY 10 - Kapama River Lodge with all meals, and game viewing activities included. Should you wish to partake in optional activities we suggest the following: Hot Air Ballooning, Elephant Back Safaris, or a visit to Hoedspruit Endangered Species Centre, or Kruger National Park. These can be arranged during each days stay at Kapama.
DAY 11 - Following breakfast, and check-out, meet your guide for
Transfer to Hoedspruit International Airport for your flight to Johannesburg with connections to USA. Late afternoon departure from Johannesburg International. Overnight aboard aircraft with all meals, and beverages included.
DAY 12 - Early morning arrival USA gateway. After claiming baggage, and clearing customs /immigrations formalities, continue to your home destination.
